Albert Schweitzer Leadership for Life Operates as the flagship program of the ICCUSA Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that actively promotes educational opportunities for young adults all across the globe. ASLFL’s efforts meet the educational mission of the ICCUSA. It is, a wonderful opportunity for students with different race, ethnicity and religions to work together and learn about each other’s different cultures. To make the world, we live in, a better and peaceful place.
Don’t Wait For Leaders, Create Them
While teaching important leadership skills, the need to encourage students to “give back” to their communities is essential. Dr. Schweitzer was a champion of this philosophy and, with permission granted by Rhena Schweitzer Miller, the daughter of Dr. Schweitzer, our organization is proud to carry his name, share his philosophies and accept his invitation to “invest in humanity” to make the world a better place.
Exposing all students to the significant benefit of mentors –high-profile leaders in business, government, education and the non-profit sector – is a major component of the Albert Schweitzer Leadership for Life program. As part of our Albert Schweitzer Distinguished Lecture Series, these leaders, many of whom are recipients of national and international honors, form an integral part of the ASLFL program.
